Moldova National Wine Day

There is one country that each year celebrates its wines and winemakers with a National Wine Day. It’s neither France, nor Italy, nor Spain, but Moldova. This state nestled between Romania and Russia as a long winemaking tradition and an important wine production in spite of its small size.
This ear, the 18th edition will be held on October 5th and 6th and the highlight will take place on the main square of the capital, Chisinau, where dozens of small and big producers from all over the country will gather to offer the public the chance to taste and buy their wines. Wine lovers and tourists can also participate in master classes and conferences to discover Moldova wines variety and history or join tours in wineries and vineyards. In addition artists and bands will give performances and concerts on the square.
The event is not limited to Chisinau. On this occasion many wine estate open their gate to the public in all the country’s main wine areas, Codru, Stefan Voda and Valul lui Traian.
