Presenting a hundred or so prints and several vintage photographs, this exhibition shows the evolution of landscape paintings in Japan from 1820 to the early 20th century and highlights it was an essential source of inspiration for artists of the Ukiyo-e aesthetic movement. Works on display include paintings by famous artists Katsushika Hokusai and Utagawa Hiroshige but also by lesser-known ones from the early 20th century.
