Dalida’s wardrobe

PARIS.
Italian born in Cairo, Miss Egypt 1954 and an icon of French music from the 50s to the 80s, Dalida was a fervent lover of fashion and was dressed by the greatest designers both on and off-stage, in haute couture or in prêt-à-porter. On the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of her death, an exhibition presents a selection of the greatest pieces from her former wardrobe including dresses by Yves Saint Laurent, Balmain and Jean-Claude Jitrois as well as a Hollywood-style red strapless sheath designed by Jean Dessès.
