First retrospective dedicated to Camille Pissarro to be held in Paris for nearly forty years, the exhibition «Camille Pissaro, the first Impressionnist» presents some seventy-five of his works including eight paintings that have never been shown in France before on loan from major French and worldwide museums private collections. Arranged in seven sections each one focusing on a period or a subject, it traces the Franco-Danish painter's career from his early work in the Danish West Indies to the major urban series from Paris, Rouen and Le Havre he produced at the end of his life.
