Featuring some sixty masterpieces on loan from leading public and private collections around the world, the exhibition “Cezanne and the Master Painters. A dream of Italy” presents works by the French painter alongside canvases by Italian painters from the 16th to the 20th centuries. It highlights how works by Tintoretto, El Greco, Ribera and Giordano influenced Cézanne art but also how his own paintings influenced in return modern Italian painters such as Carra, Boccioni and Morandi.
