Picpoul de Pinet, little-known white wines

Fresh, crispy, with a slightly mineral touch, with iodic and citrus notes, the dry white wines of the Picpoul de Pinet AOP are made from a single grape variety, the Picpoul. Perfect as an aperitif as well as with oysters and seafood, they are still little-known although this appellation is Languedoc’s largest for whites because it was only created in October 2013. Located near Sète and the Thau lake, the vineyard covers 1 400 ha shared by 24 wineries and 2 cooperatives. Here are our picks :
